Public Policy & Advocacy

• Develop and implement the organization’s public policy agenda focused on autism services, ABA regulations, and healthcare access.

• Monitor federal and state legislative activity, licensure updates, Medicaid and commercial insurance policy changes, and relevant regulatory trends.

• Build relationships with legislators, regulatory agencies, trade associations, and advocacy groups to influence policy outcomes.

• Draft policy briefs, position statements, comment letters, and testimony for legislative or regulatory hearings.

• Represent the organization at policy roundtables, industry coalitions, and government-facing meetings.

Regulatory Affairs & Compliance

• Interpret state and federal regulations impacting ABA therapy, mental health services, and healthcare operations.

• Provide guidance to clinical and operational teams on compliance requirements, licensing standards, and payer-specific rules.

• Lead cross-functional initiatives to prepare for new regulatory changes, including implementation planning, training, and risk assessment.

• Serve as an internal expert on Medicaid/insurance mandates, prior authorization laws, rate changes, and network adequacy requirements.

Access to Care Initiatives

• Partner with leadership to remove barriers to treatment, reduce waitlists, and expand service availability across markets.

• Analyze legislative and regulatory developments that impact patient access, reimbursement, or provider qualification standards.

• Design advocacy campaigns supporting improved coverage, fair reimbursement rates, and reduced administrative burdens.
