Our client is a $40M+ construction engineering and services supply company operating across the U.S. and Canada as a strategic, free-standing segment of a larger private family fund. With strong financial backing and ambitious plans for organic and acquisition-driven growth, the business is entering a major scaling phase. They are now seeking a Senior Accountant to support the Head of Finance and help strengthen the company's expanding accounting function.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy across accounts.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, resolving discrepancies proactively.
• Manage fixed asset accounting, including additions, disposals, depreciation.
• Reconcile bank accounts, monitor cash activity, and manage foreign currency (forex) transactions, including revaluations and reporting of exchange gains/losses.
• Perform intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, and settlement processes across multiple entities.
• Support accounts payable processing and ensure compliance with internal controls.
• Coordinate project and monthly billing, including use of Textura with the Project Management team.
• Prepare budgets and forecasts, providing analysis and insight for management review.
• Serve as a point of contact for external auditors: plan, prepare lead schedules, and provide support.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and company policies.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and strengthen reporting.
